Xi'an Huaxia Culture & Tourism Ocean Park 2024

In 2024, Zigong Jiucai Culture And Art Co., Ltd. created the custom illuminated installations for the “Light & Shadow Adventure Season” at Xi'an Huaxia Culture & Tourism Ocean Park, transforming the winter holiday period into a magical nighttime experience for families and visitors.
Located in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China, the project introduced a new seasonal attraction combining large-scale lantern installations, immersive lighting scenes, interactive performances and entertainment experiences.
During the New Year holiday period, the park launched a spectacular Planet Light Show, featuring thousands of colorful illuminated installations, including the 5-meter Flowing Light Rabbit, magical fantasy scenes and themed light landscapes.
Through the combination of artistic lantern craftsmanship and modern lighting design, Jiucai helped create a dreamlike nighttime environment where visitors could explore a world of light, imagination and interactive entertainment.
The project demonstrates how custom lantern displays can extend beyond traditional festivals and become powerful seasonal attractions for theme parks, family entertainment venues and commercial destinations.

Project Background: Transforming a Theme Park into a Winter Light Wonderland
Modern theme parks increasingly use seasonal nighttime events to enhance visitor engagement, extend operating hours and create memorable holiday experiences.
The Xi'an Huaxia Culture & Tourism Ocean Park lighting event was designed around the concept of creating a winter fantasy journey through:
- Light and shadow experiences
- Fantasy-themed installations
- Family entertainment
- Interactive performances
- Holiday atmosphere
Rather than simply adding decorative lighting, the project created a complete immersive environment where visitors could explore different illuminated scenes and participate in themed activities.
This approach helped transform the park into a new nighttime attraction during the winter holiday season.

Project Highlights
1. Planet Light Show — Creating a Fantasy Universe Through Light
The highlight of the event was the immersive Planet Light Show, featuring thousands of illuminated art installations throughout the park.
Themed around fantasy and imagination, the lighting scenes created a colorful nighttime world where visitors could experience:
- Dreamlike landscapes
- Fantasy characters
- Interactive photo areas
- Large-scale illuminated sculptures
The carefully designed lighting environment encouraged visitors to explore, photograph and share their experiences.
For international theme park operators, this demonstrates how custom lantern installations can become seasonal attractions that increase visitor engagement and repeat attendance.

2. Large-Scale Artistic Lantern Installations
One of the signature installations was the 8-Meter Mermaid Lantern Installation, which became a popular visual landmark within the event.
Through creative modeling, colorful lighting effects and detailed craftsmanship, the installation combined:
- Artistic design
- Family-friendly characters
- Interactive visual appeal
- Nighttime atmosphere
Large-scale illuminated sculptures such as this can serve as key attractions for:
- Theme parks
- Shopping malls
- Holiday markets
- Public events
- Cultural festivals
Jiucai specializes in transforming creative concepts into eye-catching illuminated installations suitable for different environments.

3. Winter Immersive Entertainment Experience
The event was not only a lighting exhibition but also a complete entertainment experience.
During the winter season, visitors could enjoy:
- Fantasy light scenes
- Seasonal performances
- Interactive activities
- Family entertainment experiences
The combination of lighting, performances and visitor interaction created a stronger emotional connection compared with traditional static displays.
This reflects the growing global trend toward immersive nighttime entertainment, where visitors become part of the experience.

4. Bringing Light, Storytelling and Family Experiences Together
The project successfully combined visual design with storytelling elements.
The illuminated installations created different emotional experiences:
- Surprise through large-scale displays
- Fun through character-based designs
- Imagination through fantasy environments
- Connection through family activities
By integrating storytelling into lighting design, the event created more than a simple light show — it became a memorable seasonal destination.
This concept can be adapted for:
- Christmas light festivals
- Halloween events
- Spring festivals
- Zoo night tours
- Theme park seasonal celebrations
